Presiden Yamauchi, of Mazda announced their plan to use Hydrogen Rotary Engine on Electric Vehicle as a range extender.
Hydrogen Rotary Engine has been tested on RX-8 (will be discontinued this month….), and it will release only Water, as its exhaust; very clean engine. Also, unlike other hydrogen engines, Rotary engine does not require high purity of hydrogen, which will reduce the cost of hydrogen, by a lot.
Mazda is planning on start leasing Electric Vehicle withHydrogen RE, which has twice as long range as conventional EV.
