Just got back from our travel to Japan and China.
It’s been 2 years since the last time, and again, it was a very busy vacation.
Here are some Pics from this trip.
Between busy days at work and never curing jet lag, it doesn’t seem like I will ever be able to upload all the pictures… so I guess I’ll just upload a few to start, and then will continue a little by little…
We found the cheapest ticket through Delta for the semi-roundtrip From the US to Japan, and then Back from China to the US.
Travel by Delta went rather smooth than I was expected for Delta… Sorry, but I do have very low expectation to the carrier…
Our arrival to the Tokyo was pretty much on time, and they had a good selection of the inflight movies.
First Stop: Yokohama The first place we visited. Yes, it said Beijing Street… My uncle treated my wife with “Real Chinese Food” in the Largest china town in Japan, Yokohama.
Restaurant we jumped in was called “456 restaurant”; Don’t ask.. I don’t know why.Appetizer: Roasted Pork and some pickled vegetablePineapple Chicken (or something.. can’t remember…)Chin-Jao-Rou-Su (in Japanese pronunciation); Stir fried pork and bell peppersChili-ShrimpSweet and Sour Porkpork dumplinganother dumplings. it has soup inside!Peking (Beijing) Duck: My wife was shocked and literally stunned when she saw this.*Bun goes with the duckMapo Tofu: more seafood flavored than the typical one, but tasted goodThis fried rice is actually good, my wife said…Hot and sour soup.Desert: An-Nin-Tofu. It’s not a tofu, but textured somewhat like tofu and sweet.
Second Stop: Sushi – the REAL One
On day two, I had some business to take care of. Went to bank and ordered a new bankcard, went to city hall to check some social security things etc, and then had lunch at a local sushi restaurant.
Takeharu, is a local old sushi restaurant that my mom has been going with grandma since long before I was born…
The owner chef goes to Tsukiji (THE fish market in Tokyo) every morning long before the sun comes up, and pick each fish himself to use on that day.
Then for the rest of afternoon, we went for a shopping at a Mall (?).
A lot of stores selling “American” style things, for an outrageously expensive!
including this. Yes, Krispy Kreme is now in Japan!
the Plain Donut is about $1.60 each!!!A Dozen of Plain: $16 A Dozen of Fancy: $18!!!
We couldn’t afford such an expensive donut (JK), we got a coffee and frappe… just notice the size compare to an iPhone…Though it’s not really in fireworks season, but I found a Japanese traditional fireworks called “Senkou Hanabi”, and wanted WSMBO to try.

You forgot to post the breakfast we had in the morning… but oh well, too many food pics already. You made it looks like this trip was all about food (which is really true, though…).
