Another successful torture session to the poor Watermelon. Though the course was not as bumpy as the last event, still this old girl endured 8 runs 2 drivers, in hot steamy day sitting at the rev-limiter for multiple occasion and then crawl through the mud in the afternoon.
Thanks to T.S. for co-driving with me, and sorry that I stole your trophy! It really was a theft… We had 5 morning runs each, and he was leading me by over 7.5 seconds… However, in the afternoon, while I got my first 3 runs in totally dry runs, the weather punished him for going so fast, and down poured on him, and made the entire course in to the mud pit…. But without such incident, there’s no way I can enjoy the trophy over God hand and foot driver, so I shamelessly celebrate my win….
Amazon delivery caused slight mishaps that we only had a new shocks in front and kept the blown rears, but the replacement will be here shortly and the Watermelon will be on 4 good shocks (as good as the cheapest shocks on amazon* can be) for the next event!
* technically it wasn’t the cheapest, as I waited till the last minutes and needed to opted for the ones with 2 day shipping… but still spent only a little over $100 for all 4 shocks are cheap….
