Alcatraz offer Audio Tour that included in ticket, and it is very well done.
However, If you could catch Alcatraz Garden tour, it is very well worth it! Our tour guide took us around the various restored gardens, and told us a lot of stories about prison, plants and story about various area on island.

Highly Recommended! If you get there early morning, they have Garden tour around the island.

The info I found said it will take 2 to 2-1/2 hours to visit Alcatraz, but we ended up spending almost 5 hours. You can feel the history in the air.

After the Alcatraz tour, we had a Dim Sum. Everything was so tasty, and really wish if we could eat more…

  1. Wow! Nice food! .
oh…man, I’ve been programming and writing papers while you are having so great food! Are you still there?

    1. Unfortunately I’m already back… Food was so good I already miss them… but it’s always good to be back home. I like small town like oxford, and appreciate the flat land… after walking up and down the street in SF, the uphill to High Street is not that much of hill anymore….

  2. you forgot to say wife met her high school friend for dinner at Sichuan Home… no pics, though…
