Sad, sad day is coming….

Just finished one last wash and waxing on my RX-8, after removing all the aftermarket parts…

Our garage is over sized 2 car, I could force-fit 3 cars, but not 4 cars with my new addition of “no-excuse Miata”…  Also being just two of us, and my poor RX-8 not being driven is not respectful to the rotary…

Here’s the copy from my craigslist post.
Please let me know if you know anybody who maybe interested. I’d really want her to be in hand o someone who takes care of, and enjoys what she is capable of. RX-8 is not the fastest car on the road, but with its amazing handling, and unique Rotary engine, I just can’t help having grin on my face when I hit some curvy backroads.

VERY LOW MILES! 49,3xx Miles. (You really can’t find such low mileage RX-8 around!)

2005 Mazda RX-8 Grand Touring

1.3 L Rotary Engine with 6 Speed Manual Transmission.

VIN check record available.

Power Window, Power Steering, Power Moonroof, Permium Audio with iPod Connectivity (30pin, but you can get an adaptor for newer Lightning Connector)

Brand new Rotors, with StopTech Street Performance brake pads

New battery installed this fall.

Clear side marker

Oil cooler screen

Custom made (by me), GoPro or other camera mount bar.

Only negative is the driver’s side door panel does not match the color with the body.

I had a Dent/Scratch on the door, and the replacement door panel did not match the body color…

Also the rims with tires that come with car does not have TPMS. My original rims are the winter set listed below.

Owned by a car enthusiast, and have been very well taken care of other wise.

Asking 6800 for the car.

I also have some aftermarket parts I can sell with the car.

BHR Ignition system ($400)

– I strongly recommend this on any RX-8!

RaceRoots Clutch Pedal Reinforcement bracket ($50)

– so as this.

Koni Yellow Sports Suspension (less than 15,000 miles) $300

TEIN Lowering Springs (15,000 miles) $150

Progress Tech Front Sway Bar $100

Axial Flow Short Shifter $220

Racing Beat REVi Intake and extra cone filter, with Ram Duct $350

Morose breather oil catch can $75

All-weather floor mat $50

All-weather trunk mat $50

I also have

Winter tires (Bridgestone Blizzak) with plenty of tread on stock rims with TPMS for $400

18″ Enkei RPF1 (Very Light weight rims!) wrapped in Bridgestone RE-11 $1000

If you are interested in taking everything, I will let it go for $9500.

The car price is negotiable, the aftermarket parts are firm on prices.

Contact me via text would be the best, but email also works. I usually don’t answer calls from unknown numbers, so please leave me a voicemail and I will call back.

Thank you for looking.

  1. If i had the money I would, rotary engines will always be my favorite, had a 12a rx7 at some point. thing was loud.

    1. Thanks for comments. I love the car still. Just took her out for one last drive. Love the engine, love the handling. And answering to the question above, depends on who you ask… Wife would say too much, but I’d say just enough. 🙂
